Dredging Rubber Hose

Application

As a specialized conveyance component, the dredging rubber hose is engineered to transport sand-water mixtures from underwater to onshore locations. Crafted from premium industrial rubber or HDPE materials, it is typically installed between the suction inlet and the pump, or used to connect dredgers to spoil disposal sites. For marine applications, the hose is paired with floaters to ensure stable buoyancy on the water surface.

Dredging rubber hoses encompass a full range of types, including discharge hoses, suction hoses, self-floating hoses, armored hoses, floating hoses and bow expanded hoses. These versatile products are widely deployed in river and lake dredging & desilting projects, port construction, land reclamation initiatives and offshore mining operations. All our dredging rubber hoses are designed and manufactured in strict compliance with ISO standards.

Your Trusted Partner for Dredging Solutions

Against the backdrop of climate change, coastal ports and inland waterways are facing mounting challenges, driving unprecedented growth in the global dredging industry. YK’s advanced pipes and hoses deliver enhanced durability and reliability, empowering dredging teams to operate safely and optimally with cutting-edge technologies. Partnering with YK ensures the long-term accessibility and cleanliness of your waterway assets.

Dredgers rank among the most sophisticated marine vessels in operation today. Beyond standard navigation systems, they rely on a complex array of pumps and hybrid-construction pipelines to collect and transfer dredged materials.

Operating in extreme working conditions, these pipelines demand rugged, flexible and dependable solutions you can count on, including:

  • Submerged suction pipes
  • Pump intake and outlet connectors
  • Floating abrasion-resistant (AR) steel discharge pipelines
  • Self-floating rubber discharge lines
  • Application-specific rubber hoses

Common Dredging Applications

  • Beach restoration and reconstruction
  • Lake dock maintenance
  • River sediment and phosphate removal
  • Port and navigation channel deepening
  • Harbor maintenance
  • Sand and aggregate mining
  • Fly ash pond management
  • Dam reinforcement

Floating Dredging Hose (Floating Hose / Marine Hose / Dredge Hose)

The floating dredging hose features a multi-layered construction design. Its inner discharge hose is safeguarded by a buoyancy module, which is further protected by a lateral reinforced rubber outer casing. A variety of customized design configurations are available to meet diverse project requirements.

Application Scope

Our floating dredging hoses are specifically engineered for the transfer of seawater, silt, sand and other dredged materials in port and dock operations. They serve as a critical component in the construction and maintenance processes of harbors and terminals.

Core Specifications

  • Inner layer: High-quality rubber with exceptional abrasion resistance
  • Operating temperature range: -25℃ to +80℃ (-13℉ to +176℉)
  • Safety factor: 4:1

Distinctive Characteristics

Working bending angle range: 0° to +45°.

The outer cover is formulated with a rubber compound that offers superior resistance to weathering, UV radiation and ozone degradation.

Wear indicator layers can be integrated into hoses intended for transporting highly abrasive media, enabling real-time wear monitoring.

A single integrated foam floating layer prevents water absorption, ensuring that the hose’s water emergence rate is no less than 20% of its total volume.

Custom flange connections are available to match specific project requirements.
